Step One: Personalized Consultation

Every lip blushing appointment begins with a one-on-one consultation to ensure your vision is fully realized. During this step, we will work together to craft the perfect plan tailored to your lips, color preferences, and overall goals. Feel free to bring your favorite lip colors or reference photos of lip colors and shapes you love, or even ones you don’t, to help communicate your desired look.

Together, we’ll discuss:

• Lip Shape & Symmetry: To balance your lip shape and enhance or minimize your cupid’s bow.

• Color Selection: Choosing the perfect shade for your skin tone and everyday lip color.

• Desired Style: Natural, ombre, or lipstick lip blush.

• Questions or Concerns: We’re here to address everything!

Step Two: Lip Mapping & Design

Once our plan is set, we’ll map out your lips by following your natural lip border and carving the shape out with mapping paste. Using advanced techniques and careful measurements, we will create a blueprint that balances shape, symmetry, and fullness. At this stage, you’ll see the lip shape created and can request any adjustments to feel confident before tattooing begins.

This step typically takes 20-60 minutes.

Step Three: Outline and Numbing

To ensure the outline stays as crisp as possible, we do not numb after mapping. We will quickly and gently go over the outline of the shape with a single needle to secure the mapping. This normally takes about five minutes and most clients rate it a 2/10 on the pain scale. After the outline is perfect, we will lightly dust over your lips to open the skin so it absorbs more numbing, this part only takes about one minute. Then you are ready to be numbed for the rest of the procedure. We will allow the numbing to sit on your lips for about twenty minutes before coloring in your lips. If you need to be re-numbed during the tattooing process, more will be applied.

Step Four: Filling In The Lips

With your lips outlined and numbed, we begin blushing your lips. Pigment is gradually layered using soft, precise strokes to build color and definition. This can include shading for a natural tint, ombre effect, or a fuller lipstick-style finish, depending on your chosen style.

The step usually takes 1–1.5 hours. You are welcome to bring headphones and blanket to get extra cozy.

Step Five: Aftercare & Healing

After your lip blush session, we’ll provide full instructions to ensure proper healing and optimal color retention. Healing typically takes about 5–10 days, with the full color settling over 2–3 weeks.

You’ll receive a complete aftercare kit, including:

• 3 Antibiotic Wipes

• Lip Healing Balm

• Disposable Straw

• Detailed day-by-day care instructions

• Your artist’s contact info for any questions

Step Six: Touch-Up Appointment

A touch-up is recommended 6–8 weeks after your initial session. This allows your artist to perfect the color, add extra pigment if desired, and make any final adjustments to shape or saturation.

Most clients find this session ensures long-lasting, beautiful results that can last 1–3 years, depending on skin type and lifestyle.
